Is O2 the Best Network?

O2 were awarded Best Network Coverage in 2019 by uSwitch. They run 2G, 3G, 4G and 5G services in the UK, they also we operate O2 Wifi service which has access points all across the country.

O2 5G is live in areas of the following 21 towns and cities: Belfast, Birmingham, Bradford, Bristol, Cardiff, Coventry, Derby, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Leicester, Lisburn, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Sheffield, Slough and Stoke-on-Trent.

O2’s 5G rollout will continue to reach customers, with a plan to reach a total of 50 locations by summer 2020. they're currently busy planning our 5G rollout in the following: Aberdeen, Birkenhead, Blackpool, Brighton, Bournemouth, Cambridge, Eton, Guildford, Hove, Kingston upon Hull, Luton, Milton Keynes, Newbury, Northampton, Plymouth, Portsmouth, Reading, Southampton, Sunderland, Warrington, Windsor and Wolverhampton.

O2's Get a little extra, on us

To be eligible for an O2 'extra' you must purchase your sim only deal from O2. So, if you choose to purchase an O2 sim only via the simtastic.co.uk website. You must order it from O2 and not e2save or mobiles.co.uk

Pick your O2 Extra when you place your order, or choose in My O2 within 28 days. Remember to redeem (via link in My O2) within 28 days. Once your free period is up, you'll automatically move to the paid service. You can opt out of this at any time in My O2.
• Get up to six months' free Apple Music. - Redeem directly with Apple via redemption code provided to you within 7 days of Qualifying Purchase. All participants must redeem by 23rd June 2022. Redemption terms apply. O2 provides 3 month subscription ("Subscription Period") added to any existing or new trial period of up to 3 months provided by Apple directly. You must set up Apple account and agree to Apple's terms of use. You'll be automatically enrolled on to a paid monthly subscription directly with Apple at the end of the Subscription Period

O2's Get a little extra benefits FAQs

• What is an extra? - When you take out selected O2 Refresh phone, tablet and sim only contracts, you'll get to handpick an extra, on O2. Whether you're into movies, music, reading, or you want to keep in touch with loved ones overseas, you can find an extra that's perfect for you.
• Are extras free? - You'll get one extra included on selected tariffs. Your included extra will be free of charge or discounted for an introductory period. At the end of that period, you'll need to pay a monthly subscription fee for your extra, which O2 will add to your monthly bill. You can opt out of the subscription at any time in My O2.
• How many extras can I have? - You can add as many as you want to your account, but you'll need to pay for any that aren't included with your tariff.
• What countries are include in the International Bolt On? - O2 have 240 countries that you can call cheaply with this. However, if you are buying an O2 sim deal with this particular extra in mind, then please visit the O2 page that show all the countries and how much the landline, mobile calls and texts are, becasue there ain't that many for 1p.
• How many extras can I have? - You can add as many as you want to your account, but you'll need to pay for any that aren't included with your tariff.
• Who can have an extra? - O2 Pay Monthly customers can have an extra. If you take out an O2 Refresh plan, you'll have an extra included on selected tariffs when you shop with us directly. But if you want to add any extras to your monthly bill, you can do this in My O2 whenever you like. You'll just need to have joined or upgraded since 2017.
• Can I have more than 1 extra? - On selected tariffs you'll get one extra included. But if you've joined or upgraded since 2017, you can add extras to your monthly bill whenever you like, in My O2. These will be fully chargeable subscriptions.

O2 Roaming in the EU

Your data, minutes and text allowances will work in the EU just like they do at home. The following countries are included in O2's euro zone:

Roaming outside the EU

Going outside of O2's EU Zones? O2 Travel Inclusive Zone Bolt On is now included with selected O2 Refresh and sim only tariffs. If you buy a 10GB 12 month sim only tariff, you'll be eligible for the O2 Travel Inclusive Zone. You get a daily allowance of 120 texts, 120 minutes and data roaming in 27 additional destinations, which are:

With the My O2 app, you can keep tabs on your account from your mobile. And it's free to download for iPhone and Android. If you're on Pay Monthly, you'll be able to check how much data you've used, see your fully itemised bill and change your tariff.

O2 currently offer 30 day, 12 and 18 month contract SIM only plans:

• SIM Only Plan - All O2 SIM Only plans come with Daily offers from Priority and Free O2 Wifi.
• SIM Only Plan between 12GB - 49GB of data - Any 'extras' you choose are free for 3 months.
• SIM Only Plan between 50GB+of data - Any 'extras' you choose are free for 6 months.
